Jonathan Brahms
                    
Jonathan Brahms’ numerous solo,        recital and chamber music performances in the U.S. and abroad include        concerts in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bombay, New Delhi, New York, Boston,        Philadelphia, Paris and many other sites. 
                    Much of Mr. Brahms’ career has        been devoted to the music of J.S. Bach. He has given recitals of the        complete sonatas for flute with harpsichord and many of the sacred and        secular arias with soprano, tenor and bass. 
                    Most recently, he performed        original and transcribed works for flute by J.S. Bach at the 2003 National        Flute Association Convention in Las Vegas.  
                    He has performed orchestral music        of all periods and styles on flute, piccolo and alto flute with the Israel        Philharmonic, Israel Chamber Ensemble, Israel National Opera and Israel        Radio Broadcasting Orchestra, under Berio, Bertini, Foss, Globokar,        Holliger, Inbal, Markevitch, Mehta and many others noted conductors. 
                    For three seasons, he concertized        throughout New England with harpist Cynthia Price as the DaCamera Duo. He        performed and coached as Artist-In-Residence at the Yellow Barn Festival        in Vermont and toured nine Indian cities, giving recitals with piano. 
                    Mr. Brahms has been heard on        Boston radio stations WGBH, WBUR and WCRB in live and recorded        performances. 
                    A native New Yorker, Jonathan        Brahms graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor of        Music degree in Flute Performance. He later studied in Paris on a one-year        French Government Grant. Mr. Brahms has participated in international        master classes and continued to work with important flutists and piccolo        players as a life-long commitment to artistic and technical excellence.        Prior to his year of study in France, he resided in Israel for eight years        and after Paris, in Boston for sixteen years, returning to New York in        1996. 
                    Jonathan has two grown children,        writes about classical music and enjoys travel, cooking, playing pool,        cycling, roller-blading, skiing and swimming.
